Hello dear members!
I am proud to announce our photography contest! For this contest, I have decided to do things a bit differently. There will be a theme & also the submissions will be judged by myself instead of being put up for popularity vote. Other essentials will remain the same tho, like 1 entry only & you must be a member of this group to participate in the contest.
I will judge the submissions based on basic photography guidelines such as (but not limited to) composition, clarity, balance, & relevance to the theme. For this contest, we will NOT accept photomanipulations, nor will we accept deviations that are not your own (meaning you must have taken the photo yourself).
So... Without further ado, I hereby announce our photography contest!! Below, you will find the essentials for the contest:
Contest theme: Light
Light must play an important role in the photo. It must be prominent. The subject can be from a sunset or even sun rays coming through clouds, as long as a natural or artificial light source is involved in the photo to create something magical or unusual. Other examples of interesting light-related photos can be shots with light effects such as bokeh, stray light, leaks or halos, backlit photos and silhouettes, etc...
Some examples are:
The grand prize will be a 3 month premium membership!
Rules:
One entry only. If you have already submitted an entry into the contest, we will not change it out if you change your mind.
You must be a member of the group, to participate in the contest.
The photo must be taken by yourself.
No obstructive or large watermarks
No photomanipulations
New and old photos are allowed, but we encourage you to submit new deviations.
MAKE SURE TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY INTO THE CORRECT FOLDER. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN YOUR SUBMISSION BEING REJECTED AND DECLINED.
The contest will end on September 30th with the announcement being on October 5th

Sorry all, for me this community is not what it once was and I can no longer even feel a need to work on this website at all.

Sorry about not being around in so long. To say the least, bad luck is the only type I will ever see again from how things have gone.
A bad infection from a dental cleaning cost me 4 of my teeth. I was tboned by someone who thought a stop sign was optional and witnessed a bad motorcycle crash. The rest isn't even worth detailing at this point. I can go on for pages and pages... every day comes a new downer. And it seems I've scientifically proven that no woman will ever give me a chance... so there's that.
It's severely taxing, when I'm not at work I basically fall asleep from mental exhaustion.

I guess adding to all the problems we've had the last couple of weeks, at some point the join request for new members decided to turn itself off as well. It is now fixed and anyone can join the group.
If anyone sees anything else out of the ordinary, please let me know!
Need some member assistance!
We seem to be having one hell of a problem with our Admin Area and I had to contact the help desk but I assume it will take a few days before anyone even asks me to turn it off and turn it back on again.
Anyways, I noticed no one was submitting anything the past few hours and I had to go in and retweak everything in hopes it would fix it.
Can I ask you all to try submitting things and let me know if it works? I really don't know what to do at this point.
